Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteer Services

The MHA Society for Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteer Services’ objective is to advance the development of effective volunteer services among providers of health services that hold institutional membership in the Mississippi Hospital Association.

Membership into the society requires auxiliaries and volunteer programs be affiliated with a provider of health services holding membership in MHA. Dues is $65.00 per hospital for one year.

In 1999 the MHA Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteer Services began the Volunteer of the Year Program. That program gives each hospital auxiliary/volunteer program an opportunity to submit one outstanding volunteer to be honored at the state level. This individual will be recognized at the Annual Meeting of the MHA Society for Hospital Auxiliaries/Volunteer Services and will be featured in a DVD presentation and in a booklet of outstanding volunteers with a picture and brief description of his/her contributions. All registrants will receive a copy of the Volunteer of the Year DVD Presentation. We believe that this approach provides an excellent means to highlight the outstanding contributions of hospital volunteers in our state and will keep the issue of volunteerism before our members and the communities they serve.
