Healthcare Engineers
The objectives of the Society are to advance the development of
effective engineering management and techniques in hospitals or similar
institutions that hold membership in the Association by:
- Providing a medium for the interchange of ideas and dissemination of
information and materials relative to engineering services.
- Providing a platform for engineering personnel within the hospital
field from which to speak.
- Promoting educational programs and activities to strengthen
and improve engineering services.
Membership in the Society shall be restricted to entities holding
membership in the Mississippi Hospital Association.
The membership fee is $60 per year, per person and entitles the
individual to receive:
- subscription to the Society's newsletter,
- subscription to NewsWeekly, Mississippi Hospital Association
Annual Report, Mississippi Hospitals (a quarterly magazine),
- pertinent subject bulletins of the society
- directory of Society members,
- registration at educational programs with "member" tuition status
and
- and advocacy and participation in the political process which
directly affects the health care industry.
Society Membership Recognition Award
The Membership Level
Program was designed to encourage continuing education and excellence
within the fields of Hospital Engineering, Biomedical Technology, and
Safety Management, and is recognized, not only within our Society, but
by other health care professionals. Designed
to recognize and acknowledge those who have reached a defined level of
professional expertise, the levels include Associate Member, Member,
Senior Member and Fellow Member.
This program went into effect
in January 1, 1993, and many members of the Society of Healthcare
Facilities Management have been recognized for their
accomplishments
