Behavioral Health Services
The purpose of the Society shall be to promote provider services in
the field of behavioral health, address regulatory issues, promote
advocacy and ethics in the field of behavioral health, and provide
educational services for members of the Mississippi Hospital
Association.
Objectives:
Conducting educational programs and activities to strengthen and
develop behavioral health services and promote professional
development
Providing a medium for the interchanging of ideas.
Providing a forum on behavioral health issues and explaining the
impact of these issues to other appropriate parties.
Conduct educational programs and activities to increase knowledge and
awareness by behavioral health issues in the state of Mississippi.
Membership in the Society is available to persons involved in, or
interested in behavioral health function of healthcare facility and
committed to the active objectives of the Society.
The membership fee is $60 per year, per person and entitles the
individual to receive:
- subscription to the Society's newsletter,
- subscription to NewsWeekly, Mississippi Hospital Association
Annual Report, Mississippi Hospitals (a quarterly magazine),
- pertinent subject bulletins of the society
- directory of Society members,
- registration at educational programs with "member" tuition status
and
- and advocacy and participation in the political process which
directly affects the health care industry.
